Julie Siddiqi MBE

Julie is a public speaker, trainer, educator and mentor with 25 years grassroots experience working with faith communities across the UK specialising in issues relating to faith and gender.

She was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2020 for Services to Promoting Interfaith Understanding.

Julie has recently established Together We Thrive’, a network and online platform to train and inspire Muslim women to fully participate in society at every level, to challenge patriarchal attitudes in all communities and to ensure Muslim women’s voices are better represented in print and TV media. 

She is Co-founder of ‘Open My Mosque’, a campaign to highlight and speak out about inequalities in UK mosques and to find ways to address these needs through policy change and innovative storytelling.

Julie has spoken on national and international platforms, has appeared on high profile TV and radio programmes and is a regular contributor to Radio 4’s Thought For The Day.

Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner from Clarity Partnership

Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner

Rabbi Laura is the former Senior Rabbi to Reform Judaism. She is an educator, interfaith practitioner and leader of dialogue. Described by the Huffington Post as “Fast becoming the most high-profile Jewish leader in the country.“

Born in London, after her degree in Christianity, she moved to Jerusalem where she lived for 14 years.

Her work in Israel involved leadership training for youth leaders and young adults, training Israeli-Palestinian dialogue facilitators as co-lead of the Peoples’ Peace track of the Oslo Accords.

She is a regular national radio and television broadcaster, including Radio 4’s Thought For The Day and BBC One’s The Big Questions.

She recently served as the co-Chair of the Global Interfaith Commission on LGBT+ Lives. She is the past Chair of the British Rabbis for Human Rights.

Rabbi Laura campaigns on issues of faith and ethics, refugee rights and is passionate about human rights, egalitarianism, LGB and T rights and Israel-Palestine. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
